I didn’t plan to start a donut company.
I was burnt out from tech recruiting, watching hiring freezes pile up, and craving something—anything—that felt real. No culinary degree. No business plan. Just a wild idea and a craving for sweets that didn’t wreck my gut or my goals.

Enter: Mochioo.

Baked mochi donuts that are actually gluten-free, dairy-free, and protein-packed. No fryers. No fluff. Just joy you can feel good about.

Since day one, it’s been a DIY hustle—late nights, early mornings, and so much learning on the fly. But somehow, we ended up in Forbes (??), got love from the OC community, and built something that means more than just donuts.

FAQS:

Does no egg mean the entire batch/box is vegan?

Yes, no egg will make the donuts vegan. Some flavors may not look as displayed on social media, as we may need to swap a crumble, cookie, or sprinkle, but the flavors will not suffer. They will remain tasty and visibly close to our heavier protein choice. 

Can I pick up donuts the same day I order?

Currently, we do not offer same-day pickup. Our donuts are made fresh in a shared commercial kitchen with limited booking availability. To ensure quality and freshness, we operate on a pre-order basis, with scheduled pick-up and delivery options. Thank you for understanding and supporting our process!
